We are having some wonderful, warm days this week and through the weekend. I'm going out again today. This time to look at furniture and have lunch with Sharon, my SIL. It's been a long time and I'm looking forward to it.

Today's card is for my DIL's birthday in two weeks. I wish I had put it together straight but I don't think she will mind. I truly have an issue with straight. I use a positioner, a T ruler and the grid on my mat and I must move at the last minute because I hardly ever get things straight. That is also true when I park my car. I think I'm in the spot okay and when I get out and look, I'm never in right. I can't tell you how many times I get out and get back in and straighten up the car. I've said this before, I think my eyes must be on crooked!  Be kind to one another.

I went out today. I cancelled the bank appointment last week. I have been having a hard time making myself get out. I've been to the grocery and library. Each evening I make a plan of what I want to do and where I want to go but when morning comes I don't want to go. It's usually 11 before I shower and dress for the day. I don't know if it's because it has been so cold or if I'm just not motivated to do anything.  But today I made myself go to Kohl's and Target. I bought new rugs and a shower curtain, rings and towels for the hall bathroom.  I need to have everything painted first but it is a start and I enjoyed being out.

Todays card is a thank you (using pattern paper). The paper is Lawn Fawn and the thanks die is Simon Says Stamp. Be kind to one another.

I'm thinking about all those in the blizzard and floods on the east coast and hope you are all safe and warm inside. We had some strong wind on Friday but that is all so I am grateful we didn't have snow again. My plan for cards this year is to use pattern paper. I have so much of it in 6 x 6 pads and 12 x 12 sheets that I need to use it. It's so hard to cut into it for a strip or to make an embellishment but I AM going to do it. You have my word. So to start I made my SIL's birthday card by using some. It isn't a lot but I had to use enough to cut a frame and the base of the butterfly. It wasn't too painful. The strip that I stamped the happy birthday on was a punchout in the back of the 6 x 6 pack. So, look at me go!! The black background is also a sheet from a 6 x 6 pad. It is very shiny. I think I said this last year too so I'm a little slow but I am going to use it up. Be kind to one another.

It's still pretty cold here but I am going out for a bit today. I have an appointment at the bank which isn't very far and the roads are all cleared. A bit more snow predicted for tomorrow so I'll venture out for a few errands. Here are the last of my cards today. Thanks for looking . The third card here has a background of all silver. It picked up some blue color from something on my desk. Be kind to one another.

Oh Brrrr! We have a windchill of -17 this morning. That is some serious cold here. I went to my SIL's party yesterday and it was so nice. Her daughter made a fantastic lunch and we had a great time. It was really nice to do a social thing but I was surprised that I wasn't my usual talkie self and I don't know why. I enjoyed the day and it was nice to see everyone. I just don't seem to be up to par yet. I was going to join my son and the grandkids to do something today since they are out of school but I don't want to go out in this cold. It's hard to get your breath in this kind of cold. I will start on my Valentines instead. Here are a few more wonderful cards I received. Be kind to one another and if you are around Indiana, keep warm.

I went out today! I've only been out twice in three weeks before today. Both times I went to pick up meds and go to the store. I ventured out to the library, bank, grocery store and got gas in the car. I also picked up fast food!! I hope it will be okay since I have been so good about what I eat for three weeks. I'm tired now. I didn't realize how weak I still am. But it was so good to get out. We are suppose to have more snow come in on Sunday but I hope it's not until Sunday night. My SIL's daughter is having a surprise birthday get together for her and I want to be there.

Here are some more of my beautiful sympathy cards. Be kind to one another.

We are in the midst of a snow sort blizzard right now. It is snowing really hard and the wind is blowing so much it is like a blizzard with blowing snow. It is on top of the several inches we got the other day.

I now have an antibotic, a probiotic, imodium and Activia and have been good for almost 24 hours. I can't tell you how good it feels to know I am going to get over this. I can't remember having anything like this for this long. I wish the Dr. had given me all this last week but he thought it would run it's course and be done all by its self.

Today I want to share the beautiful, thoughtful sympathy cards I received from all of you. I can't tell you how much they meant to me and what a comfort they are. I look at them over and over again. A handmade card is such a blessing at any time, but at such a sad time they truly warm your heart. Again, thank you so very much. Be kind to one another.

Here are the last of the Christmas cards. I can't thank you all enough for thinking of me and sending such beautiful handmade cards. I need to really get busy as I have sat on my duff for almost two weeks now. I did get the Christmas stuff put away yesterday so I guess that is progress. We are having some really warm, warm days here but that is suppose to change this weekend with one degree wind chills and snow on Sunday. My plan was to shop after Christmas and pick up bargains but that didn't happen. I guess I didn't need them! Be kind to one another.

Not quite there yet but I feel stronger. Gatorade is helping. Still no solid food but I have rice for lunch and dinner with jello and it tastes good so I'll do it a couple more days. Have a bannana and jello for breakfast. It is amazing how much time you have during the day when you don't have to stop and cook meals. Can you stand a few more Christmas cards? Not very many more to show but they are so pretty I want to share them. Be kind to one another.

I would like to welcome a new follower from the UK. Please meet Lesley and I hope you can visit her and say hello. Her blog is I'm so glad to "meet" you.

Finally got into the Dr. today. I really like him and he seemed to take plenty of time with me and didn't seem in a hurry. I didn't wait long to see him and he seemed knowledgeable. He gave me Zofran for nausea and said keep drinking and stay hydrated. The shakes and rapid heartbeat are from being dehydrated. I could barely get myself there. I have been on the BRAT diet and drinking Gatorade but still not good. So I hope this will end. Dr. said it could go on for 7-14 days and I can't imagine that. So I've made no cards or even put away the Christmas stuff. It is gathered in one place but not moved since. I hope to be making progress soon. I feel better just since I saw the Dr. and got reassured that this is normal for some people. By the way, do you know if you spend the day on the couch watching TV you will see 8 million commercials for food? That is not nice for someone who can't eat.

I'm sharing some more Christmas cards from internet card friends They are all lovely. Be kind to one another.

I still have that ugly flu virus and I am not happy. Yesterday all I had was Gatorade and popcicles and still can't get over this. Another day before I can call my new doctor. I tried last Wed. but they were booked and couldn't see me. Not a good beginning for a new patient. I'm trying to stay hydrated and that's about the best I can do.

I am sharing the Christmas cards I received first since we are just past Christmas. They are all fantastic and beautiful and I'm so grateful for every single one of them. I was going to get caught up on the blogs but I see now that isn't going to happen. I am starting over new but I will scroll through to see all of your gorgeous cards from the past month. I was able to sit at the computer for a while yesterday and made some comments so I'll get there soon. Thanks for staying here with me all this time. Be kind to one another.
